This really hits diferent when you think about how much brands actually spend for 'coordination.' The whole insurance premium vs creative value framework is spot-on. That split about separating media access from creative authority makes total sense - its the only way to break the cycle. Great breakdown of the system.

Spot on. The industry has basically spent decades rebranding 'compliance' as 'client service.'

It’s a hard cycle to break because you’re essentially asking a local team to give up their safety net. But you can’t be 'invisible but safe' and 'distinct and profitable' at the same time. Decoupling is the only way to actually own your brand again.

Do you think most brands even realize they’re making that trade-off, or have they just accepted the 'Coordination Tax' as the cost of doing business here?
